Innovation Day for SMEs: digital edition

Date 2021.05.18

On 17 June 2021, the Innovation Day for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), annually hosted by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in Berlin, will take place for the first time as a digital event due to the current pandemic situation. Although, unfortunately, it is not possible to enjoy the showcase of successful innovation projects on the garden grounds of the AiF Projekt GmbH like usual, the organisers have set up a compact alternative programme, transferred into the virtual world.

Interactive webinars, virtual information booths and matchmaking possibilities

Innovative SMEs and other innovative-driven players from the research landscape are welcome to join several interactive webinars and meet funding experts at virtual information booths to get some keyfacts about the SME-targeted innovation funding programmes of the BMWi. From 13.15 to 13.45 h (CET), there will be a separate webtalk about Industrial Collective Research for SMEs (IGF) which is the programme that covers funding for German project participants in CORNET. Also, a virtual matchmaking tool can be used to meet potential project partners.

The event’s language will be German. Detailed information about the agenda of the day will be available soon on: https://innovationstag-mittelstand-bmwi.de. The event is free of charge. Registration, in general, is not required but it is possible to register from 20 May on for individual webinars and the matchmaking platform.

CORNET: Collective Research on international level

We are confident that next year, the Innovation Day can be visited again and you will find CORNET on site, traditionally co-hosting the International Area which is the place to be for international cooperation and networking! In the meantime, if you want to learn more about international Collective Research and the possibility of implementing an international CORNET project, please have a look at the FAQs, the CORNET project path or contact the CORNET team in person: Get in touch here. If you are searching for project partners and complementary know-how, you might also want to browse through our section Find a project partner.
